This is an opportunity for the Trustees, Matron and Management Team of PCNH to thank the “Friends” for their continuing endeavours to support and raise funds for the Home in defiance of the Covid invasion! Under the guidance and leadership of the new “Friends” Chairman, Ollie Hartley, they have since the beginning of the year raised the huge sum of £20,170. This followed and was a result of a letter sent by Ollie to all of the supporters of PCNH which was aimed to establish a new line of communication via email and to update all of our contacts. This was achieved and the raising of the £20,170 was a very considerable added bonus!
Some of the funds were used to purchase an “Interactive Activity Table”. This encourages and allows our lovely Residents to work together or singly and is hugely popular and in use constantly……… not cheap but worth every penny of the £7,000 it cost.
These funds compensate for the inability to hold the Alfresco Lunch at Sir Geoffrey and Lady Pattie this year, an annual event, which is always oversubscribed and vies with Wimbledon and Henley as a major event in the social calendar!!
Bravo Ollie and the Committee of the “Friends” and a huge thank-you!
PS: Thanks to our wonderful Staff, PCNH has so far remained free of the wretched Covid. We are extremely grateful to them all and appreciative of their dedication and great good humour. We are only ‘as good as the moment’.
